Forex Trading vs Forex Investing

Today, I would like to introduce my Forex trading experience .

For those who had never heard of Forex,  http://www.babypips.com/school/what-is-forex.html is a good place to start.
I started forex trading during my third year in the university life (by 2008). It was basically introduced/influenced by my room mate. At the beginning, I got my basics (concept and execution) from the internet and demo account. It took me a few months to learn those indicators and concepts behind executing a trade. But yet, the information is overloaded, and it was a failure in implementation. After that, I started  attending courses. I attended a number of courses and traded based on what I've learned. And yet, I was still unable to beat the market. Although I had failed several times, but I know, I emerge stronger and stronger. I never gave up, spoke to nobody and kept trying. I believed in one day, I can beat the market.
As of now, I believed I am at a stage that I am able to reliably generate money from the forex market!!
The next stage for me is to increase my balance and thus proportional lot size. The quality needed to achieve that is to feel boring at my trading, and able to execute trade subconsciously.
Attached screen shot below is my trading record. I started it at 7th November 2011, with $500 and a bonus of $100, and now the balance is about $658. So, I made $58 in 3 months, that is about 10% from where I started ($600). 10% in 3 months is obviously a big contrast to advertisement which often exaggerate the earnings to attract attention. Take note that most of my trades were executed at $0.05 per pips.

The root cause of my transition from a loser to a winner in forex market is that, I transformed from being a forex trader to a forex investor. I no longer follow advices from the courses I learned. I had created my own way of investing, thanks to my experience. I believe every one that managed to beat forex market has his/her own way of investing.
In conclusion, if you are a forex trader or interested to be one, I hope you start develop your own strategy instead of looking for holy grail, because you will never found one.
